Types Of  Reactivity

Dogs an be reactive in a number of ways, but the main two are

Fear Reactivity - Fear reactivity is a behavioural response where a dog reacts strongly to a fear inducing stimuli, this can be through barking or growling, lunging or snapping and even going into flight mode and running away from the situation.

Frustration Reactivity - Frustration reactivity occurs when a dog becomes unable to access something it desires, leading to a heightened emotional response. This response can be barking, growling or snapping. Common triggers for Frustration reactivity can be lead restrictions, the dog is wanting to go over to another dog but can't due to being on a lead then reacts through barking and lunging.
